The session is designed to align leadership, prioritize key initiatives, and establish a clear path forward. Following the session, Horizon Association Strategies will develop and deliver a written strategic plan outlining a 1 to 3 year course adjustment with defined goals and recommended actions.
Cost: $5,000 plus travel expenses
Advanced Strategic Planning
Our Advanced Strategic Planning service is designed for medium to large associations or organizations seeking a more comprehensive and in-depth planning process.
This engagement begins with individual one-on-one interviews with each board member. These conversations allow us to gather candid insights, understand leadership priorities, and identify key areas of alignment and divergence before the group session. This preparation supports a more efficient and productive facilitation experience.
Following the interview phase, we conduct a four-hour, in-person strategic planning session with your board. This session builds on the same foundational elements as our Basic Planning process by reviewing operations, financials, and environmental factors while incorporating insights gathered from board interviews to guide deeper discussion and more informed decision-making.
The result is a more refined and aligned strategy tailored to the organization’s needs and leadership vision. Horizon Association Strategies will deliver a comprehensive written strategic plan outlining a 2 to 4 year roadmap for growth, sustainability, and organizational advancement.
This service also includes structured six-month check-ins to review progress, provide accountability, and offer continued guidance to ensure the plan remains active and effective.

Ongoing Consulting Services
For organizations seeking consistent access to expert guidance, Horizon Association Strategies offers an ongoing consulting package designed to support leadership and staff on a monthly basis.
This service provides up to five hours per month of direct and indirect consulting support. We assist with a wide range of operational and strategic needs, including budgeting, membership management, event planning, program development, and organizational growth strategies.
This package is ideal for associations that may not require full-time executive support but benefit from having a trusted advisor available to provide timely input, answer questions, and help navigate challenges as they arise.
A minimum six-month commitment ensures continuity and allows us to build a strong working understanding of your organization.
Cost: $500 per month (six month minimum commitment)
